Thanks to good snowfall since the end of January, Vail Resorts announced today that it is adding another week to the ski seasons at Vail, Keystone and Beaver Creek.
Beaver Creek and Keystone are now projected to close on April 11. Vail will close on April 18.
Officials called the revised closing dates “a way of saying thank you” to pass-holders and guests for their support through the pandemic but conceded snow conditions made it possible. Snowstorms have been frequent since the beginning of February, after a rough start to the season.
“We definitely couldn’t do it if snow conditions were bad,” said spokeswoman Lindsay Hogan.
Officials at Breckenridge, another Vail Resorts holding, are planning to operate through Memorial Day as previously announced, with a projected closing date of May 31. Crested Butte will close April 4.
