Winter Park Resort was recently voted the best ski resort in North America by USA Today readers, marking the third year in a row the Colorado destination has earned the title.
Winter Park took the top spot for its 3,081 acres of terrain, which boast 166 trails and 25 lifts. Sunshine Village Ski Resort (Alberta, Canada), Palisades Tahoe (California), Mount Bohemia (Michigan), Copper Mountain (Colorado), Brundage Mountain Ski Resort (Idaho), Stowe Mountain Resort (Vermont), Lake Louise Ski Resort (Alberta, Canada) and Revelstoke Mountain Resort (British Columbia, Canada) rounded out the top 10.
Winter Park was also recently ranked the No. 10 most affordable ski resort in the U.S. by vacation rental site Holidu, costing powderhounds an average $135 per day to ski.
USA Today rankings are part of an annual series called 10 Best, in which the publication polls a panel of skiing and snowboarding experts to collect a list of the best resorts in the U.S. and Canada before opening up the list to its readers to vote for their favorite in an annual series known as 10 Best.
It also lets readers vote on a variety of other wintry topics where Colorado’s natural assets shine. Here’s how local attractions fared on other 10 Best lists:
